Battlefield Earth is American science fiction film that was released in 2000. The film is based on 1982 novel written by L. Ron Hubbard, the founder of Scientology.

Roger Christian was one who directed it, while John Travolta, Barry Pepper, and Forest Whitaker are the ones who star in it. The plot of movie centres on an uprising against the alien Psychlos, who had governed Earth for the previous thousand years.

During the middle of the 1990s, Travolta, who is a Scientologist, started working on adapting Battlefield Earth. Concerns over the script’s ties to Scientology prevented major studios from providing financial support. As a result, he was unable to produce the film.
