12 Movies Like Bill and Ted’s Excellent Adventure 1989

The music and ideas of the Two Great Ones, Bill S. Preston, Esq., and “Ted” Theodore Logan significantly influenced humanity’s development into the utopian society in the year 2688, thanks to their contributions.

Rufus, one of the citizens, is given the mission by the leaders to use a time machine in the shape of a phone booth to travel back in time to the year 1988 in San Dimas, California. His objective is to ensure that Bill and Ted, when they were naive high school students, did well enough in history class to graduate. If they are unsuccessful, Ted’s father, a police captain named Logan, has plans to send Ted to a military academy in Alaska. This would end Bill and Ted’s nascent band, “Wyld Stallyns,” and alter the course of history.

Rufus encounters the two adolescents at the Circle K convenience shop while working diligently to complete their history reports. The assignment requires them to write how historical figures would view the city of San Dimas in the present day. Rufus lends his assistance just in time to prevent the arrival of yet another time machine from a phone booth and the subsequent appearance of alternate versions of Bill and Ted from further in the future. Before going into the time booth, the future versions of Bill and Ted have a quick conversation with Rufus about their predicament.
