10 Movies Like Birdman or (The Unexpected Virtue of Ignorance)

Riggan Thomson is a fading actor who achieved fame for portraying a comic book hero known as Birdman in a film trilogy that was released between 1989 and 1992. He is plagued by the mocking and criticizing voice of Birdman that exists within him, and he frequently sees himself doing feats of levitation and telekinesis in his head.

Riggan is attempting to recover notoriety by writing, directing, and starring in an adaptation of Raymond Carver’s short story “What We Talk About When We Talk About Love” which will be performed on Broadway. The voice of Birdman, on the other hand, encourages Riggan to resume his career in blockbuster movies and emphasizes that he is important to Riggan’s identity.
