Original Productions is responsible for creating the documentary television series “Deadliest Catch,” which airs on the Discovery Channel.

It depicts the actual events that took place on fishing vessels in the Bering Sea throughout the seasons for fishing for Alaskan king crab, bairdi crab, and opilio crab.

The fishing fleet’s operational base is located in the port of Dutch Harbor in Alaska, which is located in the Aleutian Islands. The inherent high danger of injury or death linked with the work is where the title of the show gets its inspiration from.

The inaugural season was comprised of 10 episodes, and the season-ending broadcast took place on June 14, 2005.

After the first season aired in 2005, all subsequent seasons have continued to air on the same schedule, beginning in April and lasting through June or July, with more recent seasons continuing to air until August or September.
