11 TV Shows Like Elite (2018-)

Carlos Montero and Daro Madrona are the brains behind the Spanish thriller and teen drama television series Elite, which was produced for Netflix.

The series takes place in Las Encinas, a fictitious high school for the wealthy, and centres on the connections that develop between three students from lower socioeconomic backgrounds who are given scholarships to attend the school and their classmates from higher socioeconomic backgrounds.

A large number of actors are included in the series. A significant portion of the cast has appeared in earlier iterations of works produced or distributed by Netflix in Spain and Latin America.

The show Elite covers subjects and themes typical of teen dramas, but it also features more progressive issues and different sides to the clichés that the genre is known for.

These include a wide range of sexual topics and themes. The plot of the series makes use of a flash-forward format and incorporates a mystery component; also, each season of the show takes place in two different time periods.
