In the late 21st century, humans, who are united under the banner of the Bilateral Terran Alliance, or BTA, and Dracs, which are bipedal reptile humanoids, engage in an interstellar war against one another. There are skirmishes that occur from time to time between fighter spacecraft, and Willis E.

Davidge despises the Dragons more than any other human.
