26 Movies Like My Giant (1998)

A failed talent agent and huckster Sammy Kamin travels to Romania on business after splitting up with his wife. Sammy wrecks his car after his teenage client fires him, and a huge Romanian man named Max, who is about 8 feet tall, comes to Sammy’s rescue while he is unconscious. Sammy is saved by Max.

Sammy has no way of knowing who the rescuer is because all he can see are Max’s enormous hands. Sammy believes that he has awakened in heaven when he finally opens his eyes. However, he is perplexed to discover a statue of Jesus standing next to his bed, given that he was brought up in a Jewish household. After that, he comes to the realization that Max has led him to a monastery, which is where Max was raised after his parents gave him up for adoption due to his excessive height.
