A contemporary Western that takes its inspiration from the “no man’s land” that actually exists along the Texas–Mexico border. Jackson unintentionally takes the life of a young Mexican immigrant while he and his father are on a border patrol together. When Jackson’s father tries to take the blame for what happened, Jackson escapes to the south on horseback and eventually becomes an “illegal alien” in Mexico.

As Texas Rangers and Mexican Federales pursue him from either side, he travels across Mexico in an effort to seek forgiveness from the father of the dead boy, only to find that he has fallen in love with the country that he was brought up to despise.
