Rock Star (2001)

In the middle of the 1980s, Chris Cole, a resident of Pittsburgh, is an ardent supporter of the heavy metal band Steel Dragon. Chris is a lead singer for the Steel Dragon tribute band Blood Pollution when he’s not working as a photocopier technician by day. Blood Pollution is named after Steel Dragon (the name is taken from a Steel Dragon song).

Bobby Beers, the band’s main singer, is let go after an internal power struggle among the actual members of Steel Dragon, which leads to the beginning of auditions for a new frontman and the beginning of recruitment sessions. Chris has his own personal struggles with the other members of Blood Pollution, particularly with the band’s guitarist Rob Malcolm.
