Grace is a young counselor who works in a facility that provides foster care for troubled adolescents. She is doing her best to help the children who have frequently been removed from the most difficult types of family environments. Even still, life is not simple for Grace and her coworkers since they care for children who are frequently and severely traumatized while at the same time attempting to have lives of their own.

Now that Grace’s wedding day is drawing near, everything is coming to a head. At the same time, some of her charges are approaching significant inflection points in their lives. Grace will need to make tough judgments and decisions in order to cope, which might put both her job and, more crucially, the people she is responsible for in grave danger.
