A woman of middle age stands in her living room looking at an old wooden box with Hebrew lettering on it. As she does so, the box murmurs and hums a Polish phrase that translates to “I shall eat your heart” (The box comes from interwar Poland). The woman is getting ready to smash the box open with a hammer when all of a sudden she starts trembling violently.
