Even though it doesn’t have any CGI effects (or rousing symphonic music, for that matter), “A Love Song,” the debut feature film from Max Walker-Silverman, takes place in a version of the United States that is more like something out of a storybook. That is, an America in which there is no danger and no menace, and in which people get along with one another in a way that is easy, thoughtful, and even loping in nature. It is set in Colorado, in the center of a very sparsely populated and largely sere campground, and it proposes a life of few means and simple pleasures, a life that shows a profoundly bittersweet nature as time goes by.
