Hank, a down-on-his-luck hound played by Michael Cera, finds himself in a town full of cats who are in need of a hero to protect them from an evil scheme hatched by a ruthless villain played by Ricky Gervais to wipe their hamlet off the map. Hank steps up to the challenge and saves the day for the feline residents of the town. Hank rises to the occasion and comes through with the win in the end. Our improbable hero will have to assume the role of the town samurai and collaborate with the other villagers in order to save the day. Samuel L. Jackson will play the role of a hesitating instructor who will help guide them through the process. The one and only catch are that cats cannot tolerate dogs in any capacity. In addition to those already mentioned, Mel Brooks, George Takei, Aasif Mandvi, Gabriel Iglesias, Djimon Hounsou, Michelle Yeoh, Kylie Kuioka, and Cathy Shim also have roles in the movie.
